Tune Deafness

You can test yourself online to see if you have “tune deafness”. A study says as much as 2% of the population may have it. It’s the inability to distinguish a melody from traffic noise, despite having normal hearing. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health say brain waves show that the tune deaf cannot tell a right note from a wrong one. Details of the study are in the online journal PLoS One.
